HER FOOTBALL. HER CHOICES.

MORE THAN
ONE WAY
FORWARD.

A team she loves. A new challenge. Football alongside her studies. The right next step starts with what matters to her.

Explore her options

A CHOICE THAT FITS HER

Progress has
different meanings.

More confidence in her team is progress. So is finding a challenge she is ready for.

A pathway is not a checklist every girl has to complete. She can keep enjoying grassroots football, explore talent opportunities or continue through education. Start with her enjoyment, readiness and the practical demands on your family.

UNDERSTAND THE OPTIONS

Where could
football take her?

Choose an option to understand what it offers, what to ask and where to find official information.

PLAY & BELONG

A team where she can enjoy her game.

Regular football with a club or school gives her teammates, match experience and opportunities to put learning into practice. Staying at a level she enjoys is a worthwhile choice in its own right.

If she needs a different challenge, look at the playing environment, coaching and opportunities to take part. A more demanding team only helps if the overall experience suits her.

Questions worth asking

  • Will she have suitable opportunities to train and play?
  • How does the coach help new players settle in?
  • Do the travel, costs and weekly commitments work for your family?

Start with her current coach, or use the official football finder to explore local opportunities.

WHERE STAR FITS

Support for
her next step.

STAR provides independent coaching alongside her football. We help her develop useful skills and help families think through their options.

01

Know her game.

Identify strengths, listen to her ambitions and agree specific development priorities. Build on what she can do now.

02

Prepare with purpose.

Practise the skills and decisions she wants to improve. Where appropriate, support preparation for a new environment or a trial.

03

Keep perspective.

Review what she is learning and how she feels. Selection is one decision at one point in time; it does not define her value or future.

Independent development. Honest guidance.

STAR is not a football club, an Emerging Talent Centre or a professional academy. Selection rests with each organisation. We do not guarantee trials, places, scholarships or progression.

How our coaching works →

BEFORE SAYING YES

Look at the
whole week.

Talk with her, her current coach and the new provider before adding another commitment.

  1. Does she want it?

Give her space to ask questions and explain what excites or worries her.

  2. Is the environment right?

Ask about coaching, welfare, playing opportunities and how concerns are handled.

  3. Can the week work?

Consider travel, costs, school, existing football, rest and time with friends.

  4. What happens next?

Understand the entry process, review points and what support is offered if plans change.
